Salary up to £78,000, with bonus, company car, pension, critical illness pay, 3 x life assurance, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), family PMI, exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales service.
Reporting to the UK Chief Technology & innovation Officer, you will be at the heart of Lithia UK's data ecosystem, responsible for our data products as well as designing and implementing strategies that unlock the full potential of our data assets.
As our Data Solutions Manager, you'll not only lead a talented team of data engineers but also collaborate with global colleagues across the UK and US to ensure our data solutions are at the forefront of the industry. As the architect of this critical framework, you will take the lead on shaping initiatives that directly drive business growth, operational efficiencies, and data-driven decision-making across the company. Your expertise will guide the development of innovative data products, ensuring that we not only meet today’s business demands but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow.

Your Journey as the Data Solutions Manager:
- Oversee and optimise business-critical data pipelines and architectures, ensuring seamless data processing, storage, and retrieval with Azure tools like Synapse, Data Factory, and Logic Apps
- You will be the driving force behind your team, igniting their motivation and providing expert coaching to ensure targets and goals are achieved
- Drive commercial success by aligning data strategies with the unique dynamics of automotive retail, including vehicle pricing models, customer lifecycle management, and digitalisation efforts
- Take full ownership of the data product lifecycle, ensuring that data products meet business needs and align with our strategic goals
- Implement robust data management practices, ensuring proper documentation, data lineage, and version control, while maintaining full regulatory compliance, such as GDPR
- Partner with business stakeholders to transform commercial challenges into innovative, data-driven solutions that support the business through both internal and external application development, as well as core data engineering.
- Work closely with business intelligence and data scientists to uncover insights, drive predictive analytics, and support customer segmentation efforts, contributing to smarter business decisions
- Lead and inspire a team of data engineers and developers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and agile environment that supports continuous growth and high performance
Are You Ready to Embrace the Challenge? We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in data engineering, data management, or a similar role within automotive retail / retail industry
- Proven expertise in Azure cloud services, including hands-on experience with tools such as Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Azure Logic Apps
- In-depth knowledge of Data Architecture and System Design, with the ability to develop and implement robust data structures that align with the business’s evolving needs
- Sound knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data governance principles, ensuring data is handled with precision, security, and compliance at every stage of its lifecycle
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools particularly Power BI for reporting and insights delivery
- Background in supporting or collaborating with application development teams to maximize the value of data within those tools.
- Experience leading data transformation initiatives, driving innovation and modernisation across data infrastructures to better serve organisational objectives
- Passionate for providing a culture of continuous growth and improvement supported by previous experience providing leadership, mentorship and career development support
- Cross-functional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
