Data Protection Administrator

Data Protection Administrator

Lithia UK Head Office, Annesley Nottinghamshire – Hybrid (mostly remote with occasional travel to the Head Office in Annesley, Nottinghamshire)

Basic Salary up to £26,000 with pension, life assurance, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services

At Lithia UK, we put our customers at the heart of everything we do. Protecting their personal information is central to that commitment, and we’re looking for a Data Protection Administrator to play a key role in making sure we meet the highest standards of data protection.

Joining our fast-paced Customer Experience team, you’ll be the first point of contact for customer data protection requests and concerns. From handling GDPR enquiries to investigating complaints, you’ll make sure that every customer interaction is managed with professionalism, accuracy, and care. This is a role that combines strong attention to detail with the ability to build trust through clear communication and a focus on doing the right thing.

You’ll have the opportunity to be involved with:

  • Processing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other GDPR rights requests, such as the Right to Be Forgotten, rectification, and data portability
  • Investigating and resolving customer complaints relating to data protection, including instances of suspected data misuse or unauthorised access
  • Communicating clearly and empathetically with customers to explain outcomes and provide reassurance where needed
  • Logging all requests in the compliance system and ensuring accurate, well-maintained records
  • Producing reports on GDPR requests, complaints, and trends, and sharing recommendations for improvements with the wider team
  • Supporting colleagues by contributing to GDPR training sessions and awareness activities, helping to embed data privacy best practices across the business

Do you have what it takes to be a Lithia UK Associate? We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A solid understanding of GDPR and data privacy principles, with the ability to apply them in practical scenarios
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex information in a way that is clear, accurate, and empathetic
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, prioritise effectively, and meet strict deadlines
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • A calm and resilient approach when working with sensitive or challenging situations
  • A proactive mindset, with the drive to identify opportunities for improvement and to make a positive impact on both compliance and customer satisfaction

Why Lithia UK?

  • Enjoy 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), giving you more time to relax, recharge, and do what you love
  • Celebrate your special day with an extra day off on your birthday
  • Our industry-leading Family Leave Policies ensure you’re supported when it matters most
  • Take a paid day to volunteer and give back to a cause close to your heart
  • We believe in recognising dedication and loyalty, that’s why we celebrate long service milestone anniversaries
  • Unlock your potential with tailored training and endless career growth opportunities
  • Commute for less with our cycle to work scheme
